Ember Muninn is best known for their exploration of the imaginal realms through large-scale abstract acrylic paintings and artist’s books that invite viewers to step through to another dimension.

Ember received a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2011, with a focus on Printmaking and Book Arts. They have exhibited in galleries across BC, most notably at the Sunshine Coast Arts Council (Sechelt), Slice of Life Gallery (Vancouver), and the Ranger Station Gallery (Harrison).

In addition to their personal practice, Ember has developed and taught bookmaking workshops for over ten years. They currently teach monthly workshops at Slice of Life Gallery, inspiring the next generation of bookmakers and keeping the legacy of this ancient human tradition alive.

Ember is also the Creative Director of Snag in the Valley (SITV), an official off-shoot of Snag Vancouver, a community-based live art event showcasing the most illustrious artists in the Fraser Valley. In 2023, they were awarded Arts Advocate of the Year for their work with SITV from the Abbotsford Arts Council.
